Seriously in need of a new avatar lol
This artwork actually started in 2000x2000 pix with 300dpi/ppi, at 1st I drew April (da green skinned) and she became the main focus of the artwork. Things got wilder when I add more characters in it and have to add more pixel from every side...in the end, I ended with more that 7.5 k size of pix, it was so big and made my PC's Intel farted bloody shits!!! To contain all the characters, I need to add and add again but still make April as the centre of them all. I'm not sure if I did arranged everything...I think it happened accidentally, I add what my eyes see fits. And the clouds...you know I really hate doing background, then putting the clouds are the easiest and laziest thing I did in here XD!
How to make your artwork looked lively: Put a lot of bright colours, use less grey and black!! They works!!

owh about the comment thing, it depends on how you think actually... TOA believes that by doing many practices then you'll learn, and many past graduates had prove that right. I heard that students in TOA many years ago suffered double the amount of assignments compared to now, and the size of artwork is bigger too...the result is really incredible, most of them is very successful in the art industry now. the 3 years learning time in toa is considered to be very short already, it is just enough to cover the basics! hence, the college assign the students with the required amount of works...those who're not used to the heavy workloads, who puts entertainment above studies, who dont like the busy schedule, will of course complain about it. Furthermore, most of TOA's students are rich...y'know, they got the money, they got parents who have the ability to support their living, capable to provide another college for them if they quit...so most of them wont be thinking about the importance of the workloads. and another way of saying, is that they're not that serious to study the course, they're not that interested in the field. Well if you do, i bet you'll enjoy the drawings, you'll enjoy the learning stage, because you can see the need of it!
so this is quite personal...it depends on the way you think, and this is what i think about it
and btw, i'll try to squeeze out some time for the contest because i really want to join it!
